I'm a photographer. I love taking pictures.

I grew up in Cambridge Massachusettes and have traveled a fair bit. I'm married and have a 10 year old son who is my favorite person on the planet. I spend 3 weeks a year in France because I love the food, the people, the light and the food. I'm 49 years old and have been shooting seriously for 20 years. I've also art directed, scouted locations, produced, assisted and generally spent a lot of time on location. I've been published and had shows exhibiting my personal work.

Lately I've become facinated by the art of editing video/film and am in the process of nagvigating these turbid new waters. And that said, I will always photograph. Always.

Photographers (some of whom are friends) I respect and am influenced by include, but are not limited to, the following:

Robert Benjamin
William Eggleston
Robert Adams
Robert Lyons
Adam Bartos
Henri Cartier Bresson
Josef Sudek
Richard Avedon

And although it's not at all fashionable among the "Art Photographer" set, I have tremendous respect for the work of Annie Liebovitz. The woman always gets the shot.
